Producer or DJ or Both?
-Been DJ'ing for a few years and with time am slowly working on the producing side of things especially more the deep house nu disco scene.Describe Your Sound
-The sound i always endeavor to achieve is one that you can really relate to and feel whether you are sober, drunk, under the influence, young or old. I have always been influenced by house and jazz growing up so i am always going to be partial to a very funky liquid vibe yet over this past year i have swayed to the dark side and i am now emphatic about 'Nu disco' and 'G-house' which i think is a space to be watched in Australasia as it has the potential to really take off. In plane simple terms i like to be a cheeky charmeleon i.e play music that people like and can mouth or dance to, the ones people know, but, then at the same time push them to appreciate different, newer even more complementing versions of those originals they grew to like. Then with some other funk sprinkled on top to accent the vibe, like condiments do to a good meal, i think the recipe is set for a fun vibe. If your not talking to your audience with your music you may as well not be there i feel.Where you regularly play, or have played
-Regularly play between the Five Islands Brewery with "LAZE", North Gong Hotel, Splashes, UOW Uni-Bar, Manly Wharf bar, Mrs Sippy, MEGA nightclub and have played at other venues like The Beach Bar, The Charles Hotel, Blue Note, CBD Hotel and on the 'Easy Life Radio Show' at Fevah FMFavorite Night spot / Venue
I really enjoy the North Gong pub in how it is set out well for a good house music setting especially in the summer months, yet i think the Brewery has something special too with the LAZE crew establishing a really good vibe there with some solid house. However in the club scene i think Splashes is arguably one of the more real night clubs in Wollongong in terms of its lay out and acoustics, a big crowd in there is something really special.Weapon of Choice
-Ive become accustomed to Pioneer and with such reliable equipment i haven't looked anywhere else, my home set up includes CDJ1000's running through a DJM-600 mixer with an EFX1000 for some extra fun. Ableton Live is also a well polished program for production and mixing.Label
